Identify which end is being measured

Barton's selected 20 mm Elite Silicone option lists an 18 mm buckle width. The maker describes a taper from the watch end toward the buckle. These are two separate points on the band. The 20 mm selection is not an Apple Watch case measurement, and the 18 mm buckle figure is not a reason to order an 18 mm watch-end variant. A short width field without its location can lead to the wrong item.

Keep hardware changes deliberate

A replacement buckle would need its own actual dimensions, attachment and source. The site does not recommend moving hardware, modifying spring bars or selecting a buckle solely from a similar-looking photo. A different hardware color is also another current variant, with its own availability. The selected Stainless Steel option should not silently become Black PVD because both are offered on one family page.

Do not let the number override an exclusion

The selected Barton page specifically excludes Garmin smartwatches. A 20 mm lug reference elsewhere does not negate that statement. Garmin QuickFit 22 is another connection system, not a buckle-size alternative. The local finder therefore uses exact product and model evidence rather than matching the first shared number it sees. Unknown or excluded combinations remain separate from a basic width specification.

Make a precise reorder line

Record ESQR-BLACK-20,20 mm watch-end width, Stainless Steel hardware and Standard length. Retain the 18 mm buckle field as its own construction detail. If the intended watch is not explicitly reviewed, leave exact fit pending and obtain an appropriate maker answer. No physical measurement or installed-fit test has been conducted by Band Reference.

Separate a buckle purchase from a band purchase

For this Barton selection, 20 mm describes the watch end while 18 mm describes the buckle end. A request for an 18 mm replacement watch band based only on the buckle number would change the relevant attachment measurement. Conversely, a buckle part purchase needs its own exact hardware specification; the site does not infer that any buckle marked 18 mm is approved. Keep the two fields named in a purchase note, and return to the current selected maker record when changing width, hardware finish or length.
